Students are announced that Miss Jacqueline is going to teach them until the end of the year
Students get ready and go to the computer room


Students watch a power point presentation with new vocabulary, read the words, and spell them (8 words: jungle, beach, river, lake, ocean, mountain, waterfall, island)
Then they watch only the images and try to remember the words.
Students watch some videos about activities and guess the actions (walk, swim, canoe, play volleyball, ski, ride an elephant, kitesurf, snowboard, ride a horse, play football).         

Students practice the spelling of the new words (places) in a dictation on their notebooks. Each mistake must be corrected 5 times.

Students watch pictures and choose  the place from a box
Students categorize verbs for different places. E.g., Beach: walk, swim, kitesurf

Students review briefly what they learned (orally)
Students are required to do activity number 3 on the book
Students get ready to leave

Students listen to four different recordings and repeat: places of the world, a dialog using where and what,  a tongue twister with the same questions and a song about holidays
On their books, students tick the activity they can do in Chile. E.g. walk in the jungle: X, ski in the mountains: p
Then they answer with personal information? Where do you go on holiday? What can you do there?
Finally, they create a new verse for the songs with other activities and places

One student goes in front of the classroom and mimes some activities learnt in class and the rest guess them.
Students practice spelling with a dictation of places and activities (to be checked next class, now every mistake has to be corrected 10 times)

Students review briefly what they learned (orally)
Students are informed about a quiz for next week (sept, 12th) and get ready to leave

Students read a dialog that is not in order and put numbers to the different parts.

With the information from the dialogs, students order the dialog correctly, number summaries, complete information for one character and complete with their own information on the book.


Students form a line in front of the board, one of them write the name of a place (there are 8), and the rest continues doing the same until the sequence of 8 is completed, the next student has to continue from number1, if he/she makes a mistakes, sits down, the three last students win a candy

Students take the final test of the unit


Students brainstorm about animals, they say the animals they remember and come to the board to draw them.
Then, students watch a series of adjectives and relate them to the animal on the board (small, big, heavy, light, slow, fast
Finally, they write sentences about the animals and adjectives, e.g. the lion is big

Students look for the animals in a crossword, complete sentences with them and in groups of four, ask each other about their favourite animal.  


Students write a list of new words that they have to look for the meaning, they also have to bring pictures of animals for next class.
Students get ready to leave.

Students come to the board and stick the picture on a cardboard, in the category wild or pet.
Then they write the name of the animal..
    

Students practice the spelling of the names of the animals finding their names on a crossword in the book and complete sentences with the animals.  
On their notebooks, students write sentences like: elephants are big, cheetahs are fast, turtles are slow, etc.
Students read sentences with bigger than, smaller than and try to infer the meaning
Then, they complete sentences using faster than or slower than.

One student says an animal and the rest of the class gives characteristics orally
